Introduction
At Moroo we take your privacy seriously. This Privacy Policy ("Policy") describes how Moroo ("Company," "we," "us," or "our") collects, uses, stores, and protects information obtained from users ("User," "you," or "your") of the Moroo mobile application ("App") and any related services (collectively, the "Services").
This Policy is incorporated by reference into our Terms of Service. By downloading, installing, or using the App you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to the practices described in this Policy. If you do not agree to this Policy you must immediately discontinue use of the App.
Section 1 — Information We Collect
1.1 Information You Provide Directly
During onboarding, Moroo collects the following information through our in-app survey:
- First name
- Age range
- Wake-up time preference
- Current morning routine status
- Personal goals and lifestyle preferences
- Self-assessed discipline level
- Motivations for using the App
This information is collected solely to personalize your in-app experience and is stored locally on your device. It is not transmitted to our servers or any third party.
1.2 Information Generated Through Use
As you use Moroo, the App generates and stores the following data locally on your device:
- Morning routines you create, including task names and durations
- Routine completion history
- Streak data and consistency statistics
- App preferences and settings including theme and sound selections
- Subscription status
1.3 Information Collected Automatically
If you have opted in to analytics through your device settings, we may receive limited, anonymized usage data through Apple's App Store analytics platform, including:
- App download and installation data
- App crash reports and performance diagnostics
- General usage patterns such as session frequency and duration
- Device type and operating system version
This data is aggregated and anonymized. It cannot be used to identify you personally.
1.4 Payment Information
All payment processing is handled exclusively by Apple through the App Store. We do not collect, process, store, or have access to your payment card information, Apple ID credentials, or any other financial information at any time.
1.5 Information We Do Not Collect
We want to be explicitly clear about what we do not collect:
- We do not collect your precise or approximate location
- We do not access your contacts, camera, microphone, or photo library
- We do not collect your device identifiers such as IDFA or IDFV for advertising purposes
- We do not collect biometric data of any kind
- We do not track your activity across other apps or websites
- We do not build advertising profiles based on your usage
Section 2 — How We Use Your Information
2.1 Personalization
Your survey responses, including your first name and lifestyle preferences, are used solely to personalize your in-app experience. For example your first name is displayed in the morning greeting on the home screen.
2.2 App Functionality
Routine data, streak history, and preferences are used to deliver the core functionality of the App, including executing your morning routine, tracking your consistency, and displaying your progress statistics.
2.3 App Improvement
Anonymized and aggregated usage data received through Apple's analytics platform may be used to understand how users interact with the App, identify areas for improvement, and inform future feature development.
2.4 Technical Support
Crash reports and performance diagnostics may be used to identify and fix technical issues within the App.
2.5 Legal Compliance
We may use your information to comply with applicable laws, regulations, legal processes, or enforceable governmental requests, or to protect the rights, property, or safety of Moroo, its users, or the public.
2.6 What We Do Not Do With Your Information
We want to be explicitly clear about how we do not use your information:
- We do not sell your personal information to any third party under any circumstances
- We do not share your personal information with advertisers or data brokers
- We do not use your information to build advertising profiles
- We do not use your information for any purpose beyond those described in this Policy
Section 3 — Data Storage and Security
3.1 Local Storage
All personal data collected by Moroo, including your survey responses, routine data, and streak history, is stored locally on your device using iOS secure local storage. This data does not leave your device and is not stored on our servers.
3.2 Device Security
Because your data is stored locally on your device, the security of your data depends in large part on the security of your device. We strongly recommend that you use a strong passcode, enable Face ID or Touch ID, and keep your iOS software up to date.
3.3 Data Encryption
Data stored locally by Moroo is protected by iOS device encryption. When your device is locked, this data is encrypted and inaccessible without your device credentials.
3.4 No Server Storage
Moroo does not operate its own servers for storing user data. We do not maintain databases containing your personal information. This architecture means there is no central repository of user data that could be compromised in a data breach.
3.5 Third Party Security
While we take every reasonable precaution to protect your data, we cannot guarantee absolute security. We rely on Apple's iOS platform security infrastructure, which is subject to Apple's own security practices and policies.
3.6 Data Retention
Your data is retained on your device for as long as you have the App installed. If you delete the App all locally stored data is permanently deleted from your device. We do not retain copies of your data after App deletion.
Section 4 — Data Sharing and Disclosure
4.1 No Sale of Personal Information
We do not sell, rent, trade, or otherwise transfer your personal information to any outside party for any purpose including advertising or marketing.
4.2 Service Providers
We do not currently engage third party service providers that have access to your personal information. If this changes in the future we will update this Policy accordingly and obtain your consent where required by applicable law.
4.3 Apple App Store
By downloading and using Moroo you interact with Apple's App Store platform. Apple's collection and use of your information is governed by Apple's own Privacy Policy, available at apple.com/privacy. We are not responsible for Apple's data practices.
4.4 Legal Requirements
We may disclose your information if required to do so by law or in the good faith belief that such disclosure is necessary to comply with a legal obligation, protect and defend the rights or property of Moroo, prevent or investigate possible wrongdoing in connection with the App, protect the personal safety of users of the App or the public, or protect against legal liability.
4.5 Business Transfers
In the event that Moroo or its assets are acquired by or merged with another company, your information may be transferred as part of that transaction. We will notify you of any such change in ownership or control of your personal information through the App or by other reasonable means.
Section 5 — Children's Privacy
5.1 Age Restriction
Moroo is not directed to children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you are under 13 please do not use the App or provide any information through the App.
5.2 Parental Notice
If we learn that we have collected personal information from a child under the age of 13 without verification of parental consent we will take steps to delete that information as quickly as possible. If you believe we may have collected information from or about a child under 13 please contact us immediately at support@moroo.app.
5.3 Users Between 13 and 18
If you are between the ages of 13 and 18 we encourage you to review this Policy with a parent or guardian. We recommend that parents and guardians monitor their children's use of mobile applications including Moroo.
Section 6 — Your Rights and Choices
6.1 Access and Correction
Because all of your personal data is stored locally on your device, you have direct access to it at all times through the App's settings. You may update your name, preferences, and routine data directly within the App.
6.2 Deletion
You may delete all data associated with your use of Moroo at any time by deleting the App from your device. This action permanently and irreversibly deletes all locally stored data. We do not retain copies of this data.
6.3 Analytics Opt-Out
You may opt out of Apple's analytics data collection through your device settings by navigating to Settings → Privacy and Security → Analytics and Improvements and toggling off Share iPhone Analytics.
6.4 Push Notifications
If you have enabled push notifications for Moroo you may disable them at any time through your device settings by navigating to Settings → Notifications → Moroo.
6.5 California Privacy Rights
If you are a California resident you may have additional rights under the California Consumer Privacy Act ("CCPA") including the right to know what personal information we collect, the right to request deletion of your personal information, and the right to opt out of the sale of your personal information. 6.6 European Privacy Rights
If you are located in the European Economic Area, United Kingdom, or Switzerland you may have additional rights under the General Data Protection Regulation ("GDPR") or equivalent local laws, including the right of access, rectification, erasure, restriction of processing, data portability, and the right to object to processing. Given that Moroo stores all data locally on your device and does not transmit personal data to our servers, many of these rights are exercisable directly through the App. For any additional requests please contact us at support@moroo.app.
Section 7 — Third Party Links and Services
7.1 No Third Party Links
The current version of Moroo does not contain links to third party websites or services within the App itself.
7.2 Apple Services
Moroo operates within Apple's iOS ecosystem and relies on Apple's platform services including the App Store, in-app purchase infrastructure, push notification services, and HealthKit where applicable. Your use of these Apple services is subject to Apple's own terms and privacy policy.
7.3 Future Integrations
If we introduce third party integrations or links in future versions of the App we will update this Policy to reflect those changes and obtain any required consents before those integrations are activated.
Section 8 — International Users
8.1 United States Based
Moroo is operated from the United States. If you are accessing the App from outside the United States please be aware that any information processed through Apple's platform infrastructure may be transferred to and processed in the United States or other countries where Apple operates data centers.
8.2 Cross-Border Transfers
By using the App you consent to the processing of your information in the United States and other countries where applicable privacy laws may differ from the laws of your home country.
8.3 Compliance

Section 9 — Changes to This Policy
9.1 Right to Modify
We reserve the right to update or modify this Privacy Policy at any time at our sole discretion. When we make changes we will update the "Last Updated" date at the top of this document.
9.2 Notification of Changes
For material changes to this Policy we will make reasonable efforts to notify you through the App, through a notice on the App Store listing, or by other reasonable means prior to the changes taking effect.
9.3 Continued Use
Your continued use of the App after any changes to this Policy constitutes your acceptance of the revised Policy. If you do not agree to the revised Policy you must stop using the App and delete it from your device.

- means data stored directly on your device using iOS's built-in storage systems, which is not transmitted to or accessible by external servers.
- "App Store"
- means Apple's digital distribution platform for iOS applications.
- "Pro Subscription"
- means the paid tier of Moroo that unlocks the full feature set of the App as described in our Terms of Service.
